Coastal Postal is now an official Live Scan agent authorized by the California Department of Justice. We offer appointments to fit your busy schedule.

What is Live Scan?
Live Scan digital fingerprints can be transmitted electronically and shared among agencies such as the DOJ and FBI.  Some employers, agencies, religious institutions and schools are now asking employees and volunteers to be fingerprinted as a requirement of employment or participation.

What do I need to bring?
3 copies of your Live Scan form provided by the requesting agency and a valid photo I.D. to complete the process.

How much does it cost?
The Coastal Postal service fee is $30.  Additional DOJ and FBI fees may apply; you may ask your requesting agency/employer about any additional fees.
